Coaches TimeOut (CTO) is FCA's coaches marriage ministry designed to help coaches and spouses grow in their relationships with Jesus Christ and each other.
As a coach, you face ever-increasing pressure in today's sports culture. Your high-stakes role often requires long hours, extensive travel, and is subject to public critique. You love it, though. You're called to coach but you're more than a coach. You're a leader, a guide and a mentor.
Even with the best intentions, though, the pressures of coaching come home with you after practices, games and tournaments. This brings a host of unique challenges that you and your spouse must navigate in your marriage.
You're not on this journey alone.
Sometimes, you need a timeout. Your marriage does not need to suffer for the sake of the scoreboard. With a focused game plan, you can win where it matters most – at home.
Coaches TimeOut focuses on three main topics:
Faith
Regardless of where you're at on your faith journey, Jesus Christ has a greater plan for your marriage. When He's at the center, everything changes in your life and in your spouse's life.
Family
As a coach, you're always on the go. Pretty soon, you realize that you spend more time in the locker room than you do at the dinner table. When the scoreboard turns off and you return home, your spouse and family shouldn't need to settle for whatever's left of you – they can get your best.
Finance
Whether you make a little or a lot, a lack of intentionality can cause financial pressure sure to increase strain on your marriage. With a foundation of biblical principles, you can steward your money in healthy ways.
